MANUFACTURING JOB FACTS U.S. subsidiaries support 4,500 manufacturing jobs in Nevada. Manufacturing companies tend to have a strong "multiplier" effect on the economy-stimulating a substantial amount of activity and jobs in other sectors through their demand for inputs from other suppliers. Overall, approximately 17% of jobs at U.S. subsidiaries in Nevada are in manufacturing industries.		ONE COMPANY'S STORY Rinker Materials Corporation, the U.S. subsidiary of Australia-based Rinker Group Limited, employs 600 people in the state. Rinker provides a wide variety of construction materials, specializing in concrete. The company has provided materials for high-profile construction projects such as the Venetian, Stratosphere and Luxor Hotels in Las Vegas. It also provides materials for many public works programs in Nevada. Rinker has had a presence in Nevada for over 50 years.
