Bombardier Aerospace Learjet, a U.S. subsidiary of Bombardier Inc. of Canada, employs 1,828 people and plays a vital role in the economy of Wichita. The company rates as the sixth largest private employer in the city. The Wichita plant is the manufacturer of the Learjet Series business aircraft and the Challenger 300. It is also a flight test center for other aircraft manufactured by Bombardier Aerospace.
