Manufacturing companies tend to have a strong "multiplier" effect on the economy-stimulating a substantial amount of activity and jobs in other sectors through their demand for inputs from other suppliers.

ONE COMPANY'S STORY

The Nissan Technical Center of North America's proving ground facility is located in stanfield and employs 600 people engaged in high performance testing of Nissan's vehicles. With an investment of $118 million, Nissan's proving grounds in Arizona include a 5.7 mile high-speed oval and four individual road courses that test various features of Nissan vehicles.
