significant. They provide the livelihood for over 7% of

Food
Lion, a U.S. subsidiary of the Belgium-based
Delhaize Group which operates in more than 1,200 supermarkets,
began development and construction of four new stores
in Anderson, Woodruff, Greer, and Union, SC. Each store
will include a 35,000-square foot Food Lion store and
8,400-square feet of retail shops. The
shopping centers and the opening of the Food Lions occurred at the end of 2007, with over 350 jobs being
created at each site.
