OFII Applauds Secretary Bryson for His Commitment to Prioritizing Inbound Investment

Washington DC – Secretary of Commerce John Bryson today delivered his first major address laying out his priorities for the Department, which includes making sure the United States remains an attractive location for global companies to invest and create jobs. The below statements can be attributed to Nancy McLernon, President & CEO of the Organization for International Investment (OFII).

“We applaud Secretary Bryson’s commitment to make global investment one of his top three priorities at the Commerce Department. As a former business executive, he understands the challenges facing the U.S. economy and the role that investment can play in its recovery.”

“As the race to capture global investment continues to get tougher, we need a national commitment to making the U.S. the most attractive place in the world to invest and create jobs. That is why the idea for a National Investment Initiative (NII), as promoted by the President’s Jobs Council, is so important. “

“OFII looks forward to continuing our work with leaders in Congress and the Administration on these important efforts.”
