Greenfield Insourcing Projects - 1st Half 2011, Special Focus: BRICs

Washington, DC- A recent OFII analysis of foreign company Greenfield investments for the first half of 2011 shows just how important the emerging economies of Brazil, Russia, India and China (BRICs) are to the overall growth of the U.S. economy. Greenfield  jobs are jobs created by capital investments to build a new facility or plant from the ground up. While BRIC Greenfield investments are still a small piece of the pie compared to overall foreign direct investment in the U.S. - the U.S. remains the top location for this type of investment, reiterating the need to further highlight and promote the U.S. as a place to come and do business and create jobs.
