Abigail Martin, Vice President, External Affairs

Abigail serves as Vice President, External Affairs for the Organization for International Investment (OFII). In this position, she manages all of OFII’s industry task forces (infrastructure, energy, defense and financial services), membership relations and promotion of the organization and its mission to external audiences. She also serves as OFII’s liaison to the greater business community in Washington D.C., including outreach to the embassy community, foreign business groups, think tanks and other business/trade associations.

Prior to joining OFII in 2006, Abigail worked as Policy Advisor at the Confederation of British Industry (CBI), a British trade organization, where she gained extensive advocacy experience in communicating issues that uniquely impacted British business to U.S. policymakers. She has also worked as a Legislative Assistant in the offices of Senator John Edwards from 2002-2003 first in North Carolina and then on Capitol Hill.

Abigail graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2003 and holds a B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy.
