The positive impact of FDI is felt throughout every state, from the millions of jobs directly and indirectly attributed to global companies, to the high-value economic activities located in local communities like manufacturing and innovation. Governors, mayors, and other local leaders alike often travel the globe to sell their state as an attractive location for global companies to invest and create jobs. States that are globally engaged and provide nondiscriminatory aftercare to companies that have chosen to invest become locations where foreign companies can invest, grow, and thrive.
OFII educates state policymakers about the positive economic impact of FDI and works to ensure global companies are treated fairly in state tax and procurement policy once they arrive.
